iWillAllowIt Support
Getting Started
- On first launch, set a 4-digit parent PIN — this protects account management and all deposits/withdrawals.
- Add a child — give them a name and their own 4-digit PIN.
- Record deposits and withdrawals with a short note explaining each one.
- Your child can log in with their own PIN to see their balance and full transaction history — read-only, no changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
I forgot my parent PIN. How do I reset it?
There is currently no in-app recovery for a forgotten parent PIN — this is a known limitation. Since all data stays on your device with no account or server behind it, we have no way to remotely verify identity to reset it for you. If you’re locked out, deleting and reinstalling the app is the only option, which clears all data (a good reason to keep iCloud Backup enabled — see below).
Will I lose my data if I get a new iPhone?
No, as long as iCloud Backup is enabled on your device (Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup). Restoring your new phone from that backup restores all app data automatically.
Does iWillAllowIt require an internet connection?
No. The app works fully offline — all data is stored locally on your device.
What does the free trial include?
You can add 1 child and record up to 3 transactions for free. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited children and transactions.
What features are coming next?
We’re actively building this out. On the roadmap: multi-device sync, savings goals, recurring allowance deposits, kid-initiated purchase requests with parent approval, an interest feature, and chore-linked payouts.
